1. Super Sweet VW Mods

Saw a super sweet old-school VW Bug on the road today - COMPLETELY modded out with flames in HUGE gold flake paint.

I resisted the urge to take a photo while driving, and I’m sure all the other folks driving near me were glad.

So, here’s a collection of some badass VW mods I found safely at home on the web:

This one is super PIMP - iridescent purple. Kinda looks like a bowling ball.

Awesome: Custom VW Beetle Trike - 1987 Kawasaki Ninja Motorcycle
“This unique trike was built from an air-cooled mid-70’s VW Beetle and a 1987 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle. It features seating for two passengers and a gull wing style door. It is a great ride and an eye catcher. It is fun to own.” - ToolNorth on Flickr

They went vintager… or vintagey-er? with this one. Dig the color.

Turned into a skateboard ramp! I’d put that in my yard. (Found @ spaskateparks.com)

Gotta love the red & silver, stars, and vertical doors - and those headlights - niiiiiice detail! (Found @ CarDomain.com)

Jet-powered, baby. (Made by Ron Patrick, found @ dastank.com)

A jet-powered beetle - seriously? YEAH, SERIOUSLY. Here’s the video.

And THIS ONE - it’s so tiny, I think I could pick it up and put it in my pocket. Awesome!

Ok, there’s enough for one post. I’ll add more in later.

Who’s got photos of sweet mods to share? Post ‘em on my Facebook page.
